Birkdale Adjustable Field Gate Eye 200 × 20mm – Galvanised

A strong, adjustable hinge fitting designed for hanging timber field gates from a compatible gate hook. This Birkdale Field Gate Eye passes through the gate’s heel stile, providing a secure pivot point while allowing the gate position to be adjusted during installation.

The threaded 200mm shank is supplied with two nuts, enabling the eye to be moved inward or outward to help align the gate, set the hinge clearance and compensate for minor installation differences. Once the correct position has been achieved, the nuts can be tightened against the gate to hold the adjustment securely.

Manufactured from steel with a galvanised finish, the fitting is protected against corrosion and suitable for long-term outdoor use in agricultural, equestrian and rural environments.

Installation Information

Select a gate hook, post and mounting position capable of supporting the gate’s size and weight. Drill the gate accurately and fit the eye through the heel stile using the supplied nuts. Adjust the threaded shank until the gate is correctly aligned and operating with suitable ground clearance, then tighten both nuts securely.

Inspect the complete hinge arrangement periodically and retighten the fittings if necessary.
