Our Rough sawn timber is untreated timber that has been cut. It is untreated meaning that the wood is in its natural state. Rough sawn timber is ideal for any job where the strength of wood is the most important factor not the appearance. Rough sawn is best used for roof battens, floor joists and studwork.
Rough sawn timber is also known as carcassing.

Good enough to make fences out of
This was the last batch of wood needed to finish making my homemade fences. Rough sawn absorbs the wood stain better and stands up to the job when built. Good that you can get a variety of lengths as I have stepped the fence panels at various so needed different lengths. They had even, when I personally collected wood in the past, cut the wood to a specific length which was not standard which helped save time.
